The reproductive rate of these rodents is particularly prolific. The female can have up to 7 breeding sessions per year. This is possible because she mates just 18 hours after each birth. From this observation arises the need toexterminate these pest rodents from your home.

The harmfulness of gray rats no longer needs to be demonstrated. First, they damage buildings by digging holes under your foundations. Then they can cause water and gas leaks by chewing through your pipes.

Finally, their presence facilitates the infestation of your home by several other critters such as lice, mites and fleas. So, due to sewer rat infestation, your chances of catching a disease are very high. They will simply contaminate your food with rat droppings.

You can then catch yellow fever, the dysenterie or even leptospirosis (also called rat disease).

In case you failed to prevent the invasion of rats, it is now necessary to proceed to their extermination. To do this, you have several ways to kill rats.

The first option available to the exterminator is to use rat poisons. These products will prevent the rodent's blood from clotting when it consumes them.

Note that there are several types in powders or liquids. It is therefore necessary to use precautions when handling them (gloves, protective masks). The second modality is to use non-anticoagulant products to eradicate the rats.
